  • The Wild Turkey Tour

Distillery The Visitors Center

Begin at the Visitors Center, which boasts a spectacular view of the Kentucky River. You’ll recognize the familiar outline of the building, which is reminiscent of the tobacco barns that once dotted the Kentucky landscape. The architectural fusion of history and modern style has won awards and earned the Visitor’s Center a place of prominence.

The Visitor’s Center houses the “Angel’s Room,” where you’ll sip a variety of Wild Turkey bourbons while enjoying the scenery. Before you leave, tour the museum-like gallery of Wild Turkey history, and then head to the gift shop for bourbon-related souvenirs of your visit.

Distillery The Wild Turkey Tour

For some, Will Turkey Hill is hallowed ground, and the distillery tour here gives you insight into a 75-year-old bourbon-making process.

If you are interested in learning the distillery process and seeing how a quality bourbon is made, Wild Turkey Distillery Production Tour is for you. Known as From Barrel to Bottle, the tour guides you from the distillery to the rickhouse (the many levels that store stacked barrel racks), and then on to the barrel aging warehouse. Guests who are 21 years old and over may participate in a tasting flight at the end of the tour.

Available year-round, the tour can accommodate as many as 32 people. Make a booking reservation in advance; the Wild Turkey Bourbon Distillery will refund cancellations if made 48 hours in advance of the tour.

When you hit the Kentucky Bourbon Trail, be sure to include the Wild Turkey Bourbon Distillery and Visitor’s Center as part of your American whiskey experience.
