Distillery Take the tour

You’ll find friendly guides who will guide you through the whiskey-making process. Look carefully and you may even catch a glimpse of the resident cat that supervises all activity at the distillery.

The tours, which take approximately an hour, are first-come, first-serve. Saturdays are the busiest tour day of the week. You may be waiting outdoors, which is where most of the tours take place. Be sure to wear comfortable seasonal clothing.

If you’re over 21, you can even hand-dip your own bottle of Maker’s Mark bourbon.

Availability and tour times change with the seasons, so check the Maker’s Mark website for up-to-date information.

Distillery Grab a bite

The Maker’s Mark Distillery is home to the Star Hill Provisions restaurant. It’s here that you can enjoy locally-sourced lunch dishes complemented by signature cocktails. The restaurant is open for dinner on Saturdays from May-October.

Distillery Catch an event

Dinner at the distillery, live music, and even candlelight tours are among the special events taking place at the working distillery that produces Maker’s Mark bourbon. You’ll need to make reservations for most events.

Distillery Visit the gift shop

No tour or event could be complete without a visit to the gift shop at the Maker’s Mark Distillery. From drinking glasses to distinctive gear, the gifts here reflect a passion for all things bourbon. Everything you need for presenting that signature bottle of Maker’s Mark is here, including barrelhead serving trays and exclusive barware.

You don’t have to like bourbon to enjoy your visit, but it helps if you do. Make your mark, and include Maker’s Mark on your Kentucky bourbon tour.
